Make A Bespoke Tweed Cushion or Draught Excluder

A day dedicated to creating a bespoke Tweed Cushion or Draught Excluder using Yorkshire Tweed.

Where: The Black Bull, Moulton Richmond DL10 6QJ

When: Sunday 14th April 2024

The day will run from 9.30am until about 4.30pm

The price of the day is inclusive of all materials supplied including, Yorkshire Tweed, Cotton (Liberty, Lewis & Irene) and the cushion inner 18" or the draught excluder inner.

The Black Bull will serve teas and coffees upon arrival and an amazing 2 course Sunday Roast for lunch.

This course is for you if  you are looking for an enjoyable day out you want to learn a new hobby or build on the skills you already know, I will go through each step of this course to teach you, how to make a tweed cushion/draught excluder with applique detail, as well as how to insert an invisible zip. Experienced or non experienced everyone is welcome and will be able to complete the cushion on the day.

Groups are welcome but it is advised to book early to avoid missing out as I like to keep the groups small so that everyone can be seen on the day.

Don't own a sewing machine... no problem you can hire one for the day with a £10 extra fee. If you would like to buy the sewing machine at the end of the day the £10 hire fee will be deducted from the cost of the machine. 

Once booked on to this course a questionnaire will be emailed across to you, this helps me prepare for the day(dietary requirements etc), I would appreciate if these could be returned asap.

Classes are kept small in order for me to help everyone throughout the day however this taster day will only go ahead if 5 or more applicants apply.
