About Us
Hi I’m Sarah, a farm girl at heart with two passions in life, sewing with beautiful Yorkshire woven wool tweed and the love of the farm and its lifestyle. I should also mention my finance Jonny and our beautiful collie Bee.
In my workshop, based in North Yorkshire, I design and create beautiful tweed accessories using lovely tweed fabric which is still woven in Yorkshire. Glorious rich colours representing the lovely open moors near my home. I count myself lucky as I am never too far from the country lifestyle from which I draw my inspiration.
Where it began
I started my business in 2012 after graduating with a degree in fashion design. For my final collection I designed a collection of evening wear dresses made from beautiful woven tweed. With the large surplus pieces of tweed I had left over I decided to utilize them into statement pieces and created my first accessory collection and the rest has grown organically. I spend my time not only sewing the
garments together but also hand making the patterns. My designs are unique to me and some of the designs can be made in different tweeds from those shown, you just have to contact me – info@sarahgarbutt.co.uk. Personal contact with my customers is a very important part of my business and one of the reasons my customers keep returning. I hope you will become one of them.
Since starting the business I have expanded my collections to include lifestyle pieces such as bespoke cushions and draught excluders. I also have a collection of men’s accessories .
